Cottage time!

Two sets of my aunts and uncles both have homes on the same lake up in Northern Ontario. One is a summer cottage only, but the other is a year-round house. As you can guess, they get a lot of guests coming and going throughout the summer months - practically every weekend. This weekend, it was our turn! Since there was so many of us, it was nice to have different homes to split everyone between. It was a great, busy time, but the rain kept everyone indoors for most of the weekend. On Saturday it dried up for the afternoon to allow fishing and boating and swimming (and photos!), and Sunday morning was also nice and sunny. Overall, a great weekend!

On cousins and cool weather.

I have an aunt, uncle and two little boy cousins who currently live in Dubai. Because it's so far, they don't come up very often. But when they do, it's pretty great. Even though the boys are kind of wild and untamed, they're adorable. We went a bit farther up North here in Ontario - past Toronto, I know it's not north but it is compared to where I live - to stay with my grandparents. It was a busy and noisy and cool weekend, tiring but worth it. As well: cake vodka + orange punch = best drink ever. I tried to get pictures of the boys, but because they're, you know, toddlers, they don't pose very well. Whoops.
